Frenkie de Jong’s future at Barcelona remains up in the air and Manchester United have been pursuing a deal all summer. Despite the club’s intense interest, a deal is far from being completed, however.

De Jong has four years remaining on his contract at Barcelona and is under no pressure to leave but the Catalan club want to offload him to ensure they stay within La Liga’s strict financial rules.

Now, journalist and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has provided another update on the situation, revealing that United are not happy with the latest developments in the story.

Romano reiterates that De Jong is still reluctant to leave Barcelona despite his club agreeing a fee with Manchester United over his transfer last month.
