Hawaii's Koa Smith is following in the footsteps of Kelly Slater, Coco Ho, and most recently, Mick Fanning.

In collaboration with Matt Parker of Album Surfboards, Smith's launching a new line of boards called Residence Surfboards

Smith spilled the news in his latest vlog below, where he says it's a "dream come true." And per usual, he gets insanely barreled too.

Smith captioned the video:

"A new wave appeared on the North Shore of Oahu and I scored!! The best surf session of the Hawaii winter season can come at any moment! The body, Mind, Spirit MUST stay ready!! Full day vlog. Enjoy!"

Opening the video, Smith's checking the waves on the North Shore. Speaking to the camera he says:

"I realize that my obsession with getting absolutely tubed makes it so I tend to forget how fun doing turns and doing airs is.

"Since winter's kind of winding down, I'm kind of realizing that now is the time to focus on that. Focus in on some airs and some maneuvers. Body's feeling really strong right now so, today's looking like the right conditions for it."

So that's what he does. He goes and gets "absolutely tubed."

But first, he drops the news about his collab with Parker and explains:

"For me, it's just like an absolute dream come true to have my own surfboard brand with someone who's such a guru and such an artist.

"Every board I step on that he's created is, like, a masterpiece."

Smith adds that all the boards we've seen him test lately, like the ones in this video, were samples for his new line.

Can't wait to see more.
