The ATP Marseille Open 2024 sees all the top four seeds rounding up the semifinal spots. The top players have done their part so far but it’s anyone’s trophy to win. As ever, we at LWOT preview and predict both semifinal clashes for you.

ATP Marseille Semifinal Predictions

Ugo Humbert vs Hubert Hurkacz

Head to head – Humbert 0-3 Hurkacz

These two very recently met at the Australian Open 2024 and Hubert Hurkacz came through that one in a four setter. Ugo Humbert is always a formidable force at the Marseille Open but this will be a very tough task for the Frencman.

Hurkacz by the looks of it feels right at home here on the faster indoor courts on Marseille and the Pole has looked rock solid in his first two encounters. Humbert has failed to beat Hurkacz in the three previous meetings and while both players possess a fantastic serve, it is tough to see how Humbert can beat the Pole’s consistency from the baseline.
Prediction: Hurkacz in 3

Grigor Dimitrov vs Karen Khachanov

Head to head – Dimitrov 3-0 Khachanov

Both players will look to shed the disappointment of the Australian Open as they surely fell short of their expectations. Karen Khachanov takes on Grigor Dimitrov which has conjured a lopsided head to head thus far. Dimitrov has looked iffy in closing out his matches this week but the Bulgarian is likely to be ready for the semifinal.

Khachanov has blitzed his way to the semifinals but it is unlikely he will be able to do so against the quality of Dimitrov. The faster courts will suit Dimitrov and his flat game style and while Khachanov is a solid baseliner, his defence is likely to let him down and prove critical in deciding the outcome.
Prediction: Dimitrov in 2
