Former American tennis player Chris Evert is currently undergoing her third round of chemotherapy and she has posted an update about his health condition on Instagram.

She underwent six rounds of chemotherapy to treat her Stage 1C ovarian cancer in 2022 but in December 2023, she announced that her cancer had returned.

Chris Evert’s cancer was detected early after she did genetic testing following the death of her sister, Jeanne Evert Dubin. She died of ovarian cancer.

Evert had a preventive hysterectomy in December 2021 and her chemotherapy started in January 2022. After completing six rounds of chemotherapy, her doctors said that there was a 10% chance of the cancer returning and it did

In her recent post, Chris Evert revealed that her third round of chemotherapy is complete and she is now halfway done with the second cycle of six chemotherapy therapies. She also posted a picture with her ex-husband, Andy Mill, who paid her a visit to the hospital and thanked him for being her ‘support system.

Onto my 3rd round of Chemo; halfway there - A reminder to get your checkups, know your family history, and be your own advocate with your health. Early detection is crucial! It doesn’t hurt to have a good support system like I do. She wrote in the caption of her post.

Chris Evert receives wishes from multiple tennis legends

There were numerous comments on the post from legendary players like Billie Jean King, Tracy Austin, Mary Pierce, Anne White, Barbara Schett, and Rennae Stubbs, all wishing her a speedy recovery and good health.
