One of the all-time greats in men's tennis recently found a new job during his first year of retirement.

The 20-time major winner announced his retirement in September 2022 and is now putting his multilingual skills to good use in an effort to save scores of drivers from getting lost.

According to an Associated Press and ESPN report, Waze was founded in 2006 and is headquartered in Mountain View, Calif.

Of Federer's 20 Grand Slam singles event victories, eight came at Wimbledon, which is a men's record.

The 41-year-old was born in Basel, Switzerland, and while Swiss German is his native language, he's also fluent in English, French and Standard German. Federer can also speak Italian and Swedish.

Federer's retirement came as somewhat of a surprise, as he said three months prior that he "definitely" planned to play in 2023. He last competed in a major in 2021 at Wimbledon, when he lost in the quarterfinals. One month later, he underwent his third knee surgery in less than two years.

Federer teamed up with longtime rival and friend Rafael Nadal in one final ATP event at the Laver Cup last September. Federer's 20 championships put him in third place on the men's all-time list, behind only Novak Djokovic (22) and Nadal (22).

The 36-year-old Nadal said in mid-May that he was pulling out of the French Open due to a hip injury and was considering retiring in 2024.
