Roger Federer salutes Novak Djokovic after Wimbledon victory over Matteo Berrettini

Novak Djokovic won his sixth Wimbledon championship on Sunday with a 6-7 (4-7), 6-4, 6-4, 6-3 victory over Mario Berrettini. The win marked his 20th Grand Slam victory, tying him with Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer for the most all-time.

Minutes after the match ended, Federer sent a congratulatory tweet to Djokovic, saying he put on a "wonderful performance" against Berrettini.

Nadal also congratulated Djokovic later in the day, calling his 20th Grand Slam victory a "huge achievement."

Djokovic paid tribute to the duo in his victory speech, saying "they are the two most important players" he has competed against in his career.

The Serbian tennis star could become the first man since Rod Laver in 1969 to win all four Grand Slam titles in the same year. He has already won the Australian Open, French Open and now Wimbledon.

He could also become just the second person to win all four Grand Slam titles and the Olympics in the same year. Only Steffi Graf has accomplished the feat, doing so in 1988.
