He further revealed his disappointment in the tennis organizers for not allowing a proper off-season not only for the players but for the fans to recuperate.
I'm not a big believer in having the tennis circuit go year-round. We need an off-season. Not only for players to recuperate but for fans to recuperate. And this year-round we've always offed-seasonally with. I think tennis has shot itself in the foot for too long, Said the former tennis player
On the other hand, tennis enthusiasts and fans also go a full year cheering their players on and need some time off to regain that excitement before they see them on the courts.
Nonetheless, it is a huge step forward for Saudi Arabia after their multi-million-dollar deal with ATP and success in getting into an exhibition event featuring top ATP stars that is set to take place later on in the year.
