Nineteen-year-old sensation Carlos Alcaraz is currently the fourth-ranked men's tennis player in singles play and entered the 2022 U.S. Open as the No. 3 seed. The Spaniard put on quite a show during opening round play Tuesday in a straight sets defeat of Sebastian Baez.

Earlier in the second set though, with Baez threatening to take a 4-3 lead, Alcaraz came up with this clutch shot that is sure to be featured on countless highlight reels.

In May, soon after turning 19, Alcaraz dethroned reigning champion Alexander Zverev in the championship of the Madrid Open. Zverev is currently the No. 2 player in the world.

Alcaraz's best runs during a Grand Slam event came at the 2021 U.S. Open and 2022 French Open. He reached the quarterfinals in both events.
