Erik Moses has been appointed to the 2024-25 Bowl Season Executive Committee, on a press release from the Fiesta Bowl Organization on July 1. The Fiesta Bowl Organization’s Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer is one of two new members who will begin a nine-year term on the committee.

Moses will serve on the nine-member committee, which includes 2024-25 chair John Saccenti (SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl), Mark Neville (DIRECTV HOliday Bowl), Sherrie Dyal (68 Ventures Bowl), Jeff Hundley (Allstate Sugar Bowl), Derrick Fox (Valero Alamo Bowl), Jeff Siembieda (Isleta New Mexico Bowl), Steve Beck (Go Bowling Military Bowl) and Danny Morrison (Duke’s Mayo Bowl).

“We are very fortunate to add Erik Moses as one of our two new members to this year’s executive committee,” said Bowl Season Executive Director Nick Carparelli. “He brings years of experience in the sports industry and a valued fresh perspective to our group. We are excited to be working with him in the upcoming years as we continue to promote the great tradition of the college football bowl system.”

Moses joined the Fiesta Bowl in December 2022, following his tenure as the president and general manager of Nashville Speedway. During his time with the DC Sports and Entertainment Commissions, he helped form the Military Bowl in 2008. The Military Bowl will play its 15th game this December. Moses also served as the senior vice president of Events DC, the convention and sports authority of Washington, D.C., and founding president of the XFL’s DC Defenders.

“Postseason college football is one of the most exciting parts of the sports calendar every year, with bowl games continuing to generate excitement and passion, consistently strong television viewership, positive visibility for participating colleges, universities, and student-athletes,” said Moses. “I’m honored to serve on the Bowl Season Executive Committee to ensure that bowl games preserve the powerful tradition we have built while we evolve with the rapidly changing collegiate athletics landscape. We are excited for the new era of college football with our Vrbo Fiesta Bowl and Guaranteed Rate Bowl here in Arizona and extending the positive community impact that Bowl Season games deliver all over the country during the holiday season.”

The Fiesta Bowl Organization oversees two separate bowl games in Arizona, the Guaranteed Rate Bowl and their namesake Fiesta Bowl. The Guaranteed Rate Bowl will be played at Chase Field, home of the Arizona Diamondbacks, on December 26 at 3:30 P.M. MST and the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl will take place on December 31 at 5:30 P.M. MST at State Farm Stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals. The Fiesta Bowl will host the first-ever College Football Playoff quarterfinal since the event expanded to 12 teams in the 2024-25 season.

Since its inception in 1971, the organization has executed innovative experiences, driven economic growth, and championed charitable causes for all Arizonans during and outside the college football season. Between the two bowl games, the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl Parade, and year-round events, they provide charitable giving to enhance Arizona nonprofit organizations that serve communities through youth, sports, and education. One such example came when they donated $5,000 and helped organize a lunch for all the teachers and staff at a Phoenix-area elementary school for their Teacher Appreciation Week program on May 8.
