The Pokémon Scarlet & Violet epilogue is now available, giving you the opportunity to catch the new Mythical Pokémon, Pecharunt. It’s only a short story, but as an epilogue to both the main game and the DLC, you’ll need to have done a lot before you can get to it.

We’ll explain what you need to do before you can start the epilogue, and where you need to go to get it started.

How to start the Pokémon Scarlet & Violet epilogue

Before you’ll have the option to start the Pokémon Scarlet & Violet epilogue, you’ll need to have completed the following steps:

  • Completed the main story
  • Completed the Teal Mask
  • Completed the Indigo Disk
  • Beaten the Academy Ace Tournament once

The Academy Ace Tournament is a post-game event. After finishing the credits, Nemona will suggest setting up a tournament, but before you can do it, Geeta will task you with going around and rematching all the Gym Leaders in Paldea. Beat them all and the tournament will unlock.

Once that's done, go into the Poké Portal > Mystery Gifts > Recieve via Internet. At which point you can select the Mythical Pecha Berry. Once you have it, go to Kitakami and interact with the strange pink object in the old lady's shop in the main town.
