The drive in LEGO Fortnite is to keep building bigger, better, and stronger, and you’ll need to upgrade your materials at some point if you want to do that. You can easily pick up regular wood from the word go, and we’ve already covered how to get Knotroot in LEGO Fortnite, but the next step up is Flexwood.
You’ll have to start going even further afield for Flexwood, both for the wood itself and the materials you’ll need to get it.
How to get Flexwood in LEGO Fortnite
Flexwood comes from the Cactus in the Dry Valley biome. However, to cut them down you’ll need a Rare Axe, which in turn means you’ll need to upgrade your Crafting Bench in LEGO Fortnite to the same tier. You can do this with Knotroot, Marble, and loot dropped by Dry Valley enemies.
There’s yet another catch though, as the Rare Axe requires Cut Amber to be crafted. You can see our guide on how to get Cut Amber in LEGO Fortnite at that link. Once you’ve finally got all that, then you can take your Rare Axe to the Dry Valley and start chopping down those cacti to get as much Flexwood as you need which – like all other wood types – can be processed into rods at the Lumber Mill.
