The second DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: The Indigo Disk is released and available to all right now, but there are requirements before you can start on this new story for the game. Aside from the obvious requirement of purchasing the DLC, you will also need to have progressed far enough through the main game’s story before you can head off to Blueberry Academy.

We’ll explain how to start the Indigo Disk so you can get started on this new adventure.

How to start the Indigo Disk Pokémon DLC

To start the DLC, you must have met these three requirements:

  • Purchased the DLC and downloaded the 3.0.0 update
  • Completed the main game’s story up to the end of “The Way Home” quest
  • Completed the main story of The Teal Mask DLC

Once you’ve done all of that, you’ll get a call from Direction Clavell asking you to participate in an exchange program with the Blueberry Academy. Get yourself over to the main hall of the Naranja/Uva Academy (depending on your game version) and you’ll be greeted with the cutscene that kicks off your brand-new adventure.

Once you’ve progressed far enough in the Indigo Disk’s story you will gain the ability to travel freely between Paldea, Kitakami, and the Blueberry Academy whenever you want.
