The World of Wonders Season in Pokémon Go has a little bit of Kanto, a little bit of Alola, and a little bit of Paldea going for itself. Introduced in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, the region is featured in the Pokémon Horizons anime as well, which in turn is getting a crossover event in the mobile game.

The Pokémon Horizons: The Series Celebration Event will introduce Charcadet to Pokémon Go, which any Scarlet & Violet veteran will recognize as one of the creatures with version-exclusive evolutions. Scarlet owners could evolve it into Armaroude, Violet owners into Ceruledge. Luckily, you can get both of them in Pokémon Go – if you follow the evolution requirements for each.

Here’s everything you need to know about how to evolve Armarouge and Ceruledge in Pokémon Go.

Charcadet and both of its evolutions are debuting in Pokemon Go.Niantic

Pokémon Go: How to evolve Armarouge

Evolving Charcadet into Armarouge in Pokémon Go doesn’t require a specific evolution item like in the mainline game.

Instead, the first step to take is making Charcadet your buddy. After you’ve set it as your current buddy, all you need to do to unlock its evolution is to battle and defeat 30 Psychic-type Pokémon. You don’t have to use Charcadet in these battles – it just needs to be your active buddy while you win them.

Keep in mind that you’ll need to invest some Charcadet Candy to get the evolution done as well.

Pokémon Go: How to evolve Ceruledge

Evolving Charcadet into Ceruledge in Pokémon Go works in a similar way to the one described above. No evolution item is required.

Make Charcadet your buddy, but instead of seeking out and defeating Psychic-type Pokémon, you’ll want to win against 30 Ghost-type Pokémon to unlock the Ceruledge evolution. Again, the Charcadet does not have to participate in these fights, but merely needs to be your buddy while you get them checked off your list.

Just as for Armarouge’s evolution, you need to invest Charcadet Candy to finish the Ceruledge transformation as well.

Defeating Pokémon in battle can be achieved in various ways: Challenging Gyms, participating in Go Battle League, friendly duels against people on your friend list, or taking part in raids – lots of options that are freely accessible.

During the Pokémon Horizons: The Series Celebration Event, which is running from March 5 to March 11, 2024, Charcadet will appear in all 2 km, 5 km, and 10 km Eggs, so be sure to plan in some extra walks in that timeframe.
