Tomorrow is Halloween! So it seems only right that the Epic Games Store should offer up a pair of truly terrifying titles to spend your weekend exploring. From a twisted animation studio to the adrenaline-filled world of “Five Nights at Freddy’s,” you’ll have plenty of adventure to keep you busy. But, you might want to keep the lights on!

The first of our Epic Games Store freebies, “Bendy and the Ink Machine,” is a first-person puzzle horror game where you take on the role of Henry to explore Joey Drew Studios, an abandoned animation studio. The description is quite short, but it’s enough to tell us that you’ll be exploring the past and ending up in “a very dark future.” That same description ends by saying, “You’ll never look at cartoons the same way again.” It’s enough to make you pause, but… I’m so curious. And the screenshots are enticing! That art style!

“Bendy and the Ink Machine” is available for both PC and mobile devices. It’s a single-person game with controller support and cloud saves. It is rated Teen for the violence. I’d expect at least that for a game in the horror genre. If you don’t have this in your library yet, don’t wait to pick it up and save $19.99.

You’d have to have been living in a cave to have avoided seeing any reference to “Five Nights at Freddy’s.” With all of the games, the film, books, and merchandise, I feel like I’ve spotted it around nearly every corner. In “Into the Pit,” you take on the role of Oswald, who seems to think his life is too boring. It looks like he learns to be careful what he wishes for because, after finding the ball pit in the rundown pizzeria, he travels to the past, and the horror begins.

This one is a single-player, retro, horror game with cloud saves and controller support. It’s available for PC. And you’ll be saving $19.99 on this one, too. So, if you’re a “Five Nights at Freddy’s” fan or you’ve never experienced the world yourself, this is your chance to get a taste for free from the Epic Games Store.

How to Claim Freebies From the Epic Games Store

Whether you want to play on your PC, Mac, Android, or iOS device, you can find the download information on the Epic Games Store website. If you’re on a computer, you can download the  Epic Games Launcher to access and play your games. I know that’s not exactly shocking, and you probably figured that out already.

For the mobile games, you’ll need the QR code. Use the camera on your mobile device to scan the QR code, which will direct you to the download page. You will have to enable downloads from other sources. (Other than the native app store, that is.) This app isn’t available on the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. After installing the app, launch it, sign in, and then scroll down to find the current free game.

And that’s what we have for you this week! Check back next week, and we’ll highlight the new game offerings from the Epic Games Store. We’re staying on top of the latest gaming news, so you don’t have to worry about any FOMO.

Happy gaming!
