In a stunning display of popularity, Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever jersey was completely sold out within hours of her selection in the WNBA Draft.

The jerseys, available in all sizes from extra small to double extra-large, were swiftly snapped up by eager fans, leaving only size small in stock. Priced at $99.99 each, the jerseys hit the market just after Clark was announced as the Fever’s top pick on Monday night.

Clark, a standout from the University of Iowa, demonstrated her market appeal during the draft night festivities, which sold tickets to fans for the first time and reached full capacity. The Indiana Fever also immediately felt her impact, with a significant surge in ticket sales anticipated in light of her arrival. Clark’s jersey is now expected to be among the top sellers in the WNBA this season.

With her selection as the number one overall pick, Clark secured a guaranteed contract, setting her rookie season salary at approximately $76,535 as part of a four-year deal totaling $338,056. Her earnings will increase annually, highlighting her expected contribution to the team.

The emotional high of the draft night was palpable for Clark. “I got a little anxious before the pick but felt overwhelmingly grateful to have my family, friends, and coaches there,” Clark shared with ESPN’s Holly Rowe. Reflecting on her journey, she added, “I’ve been dreaming of this moment since second grade. It’s been a long road with many challenges, but it’s all about soaking in the moment now.”

Clark’s final year at Iowa was nothing short of historic; she set career highs with an average of 31.6 points and 8.9 assists per game, leading her team to the national championship once again.

Along the way, she broke several records, surpassing Kelsey Plum for the NCAA women’s scoring record, Lynette Woodard for the all-time women’s college basketball record, and even Pete Maravich for the top scorer in Division I history. Additionally, she joined the elite group of women’s college basketball players who have amassed over 1,000 assists.

As Clark prepares for her WNBA debut on May 14 against the Connecticut Sun, all eyes will be on her to see how she transitions her game to the professional level. The excitement around her career is just beginning, and the sports world is eager to watch every step of her journey.
