The reigning Women’s Mountain West player of the year Desi-Rae Young, has announced that she will be declaring for the WNBA draft via on social media. The Desert Oasis graduate is second on UNLV’s all-time scoring list with 1,987 points, behind only Linda Frohlich (2,355). Young is the Lady Rebels’ all-time leader in double-doubles with 56.

Young averaged a team-high 18.6 points and 9.0 rebounds. The Las Vegas native was named Mountain West Player of the Week four times this season, this marks the her second time being named Player of the Year.
