Former UNLV star Forward Desi-Rae Young has signed a training camp contract with the Phoenix Mercury. Young made the announcement via X on Wednesday, training camp starts on April 28th.

Young averaged a team-high 18.6 points and 9.0 rebounds. The Las Vegas native was named Mountain West Player of the Week four times this season, this marks the her second time being named Player of the Year. The Desert Oasis graduate is second on UNLV’s all-time scoring list with 1,987 points, behind only Linda Frohlich (2,355). Young is the Lady Rebels’ all-time leader in double-doubles with 56.
