According to ESPN’s Andraya Carter, the Las Vegas Aces have signed former South Carolina Gamecock Brea Beal to a training camp contract.

With the Gamecocks, Beal’s defense helped the team win the National Championship. Beal also won the 2023 Naismith Defensive Player of the Year award with South Carolina.

The Minnesota Lynx drafted Beal 24th overall in the 2023 WNBA Draft. However, Beal was waived before the season started and did not play in the WNBA.

Beal is an outstanding defender with her length and strength, but to make the WNBA roster, she must improve her offense. Either way, Beal is talented enough to be on a WNBA roster.
