It did not take long for New York Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu to take over the Big Apple. The WNBA All-Star quickly endeared herself to the city thanks to her play style on the court and authenticity off the court. Now, with her first signature shoe hitting shelves, her hype has spread throughout every borough of New York City.

Earlier today. Lower East Side institution Katz’s Delicatessen officially teamed up with Nike and triple-double machine Sabrina Ionescu to introduce the world to Nike's first-ever unisex sneaker by a female athlete.

The partnership features an exclusive Triple Double Stacker Sandwich gracing Katz’s counter for just one day (Wednesday, September 13) and is available nationwide for a limited time through Katz’s shipping program. The collaboration will feature the Triple Double Stacker, an original sandwich layered high with hand-carved pastrami, corned beef, and brisket, served with a side of coleslaw and potato salad.

Fans hungry to purchase Ionescu's first signature sneaker can currently choose between two colorways online. The Nike Sabrina 1 is available for $130 in adult sizes on the Nike website.

"When Nike approached us, it was a no-brainer to collaborate on this historic shoe launch," said Jake Dell, owner of Katz’s Deli. "When you break a record, you get an equally impressive sandwich, and we’re happy to be a part of it. The collaboration was a chance to celebrate Sabrina’s achievements, and further promote the importance of women's sports, and highlight her insights to success, which have gotten her to where she is today."

As part of a larger Nike campaign, the sandwich takes center stage, inspiring hoopers across generations while mirroring Sabrina's "Laws of the Game" — a guide revealing her insights for success both on and off the court, all in honor of the debut of Nike’s Sabrina 1 sneaker launch. Of special mention, the 5th law, 'A Hooper Stays Hungry,' spotlights Katz's Delicatessen.

“I’m excited for fans to get to celebrate my laws of the game campaign with a Katz’s custom-built sandwich - the Triple Double Stacker. I love a good sandwich, and partnering with the iconic Katz’s Deli in the city I get to play for makes my signature launch all the more special,” said Ionsecu.
