The Connecticut Sun hired Darius Taylor as general manager and gave Morgan Tuck the assistant GM position. Taylor will take over for Curt Miller, who left to take the coaching job for the Los Angeles Sparks.

“I am very proud to be a part of the Connecticut Sun, which for years has been one of the model organizations on and off the court in the WNBA,” Taylor said in a news release. “I’m also extremely excited about helping to empower such a talented group of women and people. … I look forward to collaborating with our players and staff to continue and build on the winning tradition of this great organization.”

Taylor had been with the Atlanta Dream since 2017; he was assistant head coach, interim head coach, and assistant GM in 2021 for the Dream. He played college basketball at Michigan and spent five years on Dawn Staley‘s coaching staff at Sout Carolina.

Tuck played in the WNBA for five years before retiring at 26 due to injuries. In her five WNBA years, Tuck averaged 5.1 points on 41% shooting from the field and 32% from three-point land. She has worked in the Sun front office since May 2021 as the director of Franchise Development. Tuck played college basketball at UConn, winning four straight national championships.

“Having the opportunity to make my mark on the basketball side of the Sun is an awesome opportunity that I’m grateful for,” Tuck said. “There’s a lot to learn, but I’m excited for this next step of my career.”

Taylor and Tuck will work with Stephanie White, who was named Sun head coach last week.
