Diana Taurasi was held scoreless for just the sixth time in her career on Tuesday night against the Atlanta Dream. Currently on a six game losing streak, the Phoenix Mercury have been eliminated from playoff contention with only five games left in the season.

In her 19th season with the Mercury, 41-year-old Taurasi has only six scoreless games to her name. Her sixth came on Tuesday night where she had two turnovers, two assists and one rebound in 13 minutes for the Mercury.

During a season where she is averaging 16 points per game shooting 40% from the field, Taurasi went o-5 from the field on Tuesday.

Taurasi’s recent performances have been uncharacteristically inconsistent for the veteran. In her last five games she has contributed 16 points, five points, 14 points, six points and zero.

In the Mercury’s struggling season, Taurasi has seen many personal victories. On Aug. 3rd, Taurasi hit 10,000 career points in stunning fashion with a 42 point performance and a victory over the Dream. A performance that will certainly overshadow her recent performance against the Dream.
