Twelve-time All-Star Sue Bird re-signs with Storm
In early January, one of the greatest players in WNBA history announced that she'd be coming back to the league for her 19th season. On Friday, the only team she's ever known since she entered the league in 2002 officially re-signed the 12-time All-Star.
Bird's list of accomplishments and accolades as a basketball player is lengthy, but among them include four WNBA titles, 12 All-Star nods, five first team All-WNBA honors and five Olympic gold medals. The 41-year-old is also the league's all-time leader in assists (3,048) and career starts (549).

To have Sue lead the franchise back home, to the city of Seattle, and Climate Pledge Arena is extremely special. The 2022 WNBA season is scheduled to tip off on May 6.
