The 21st WNBA All-Star Game is in the books. Team Collier won 151-131 behind Napheesa Collier’s 36 points and nine rebounds.
Collier’s 36 points set a WNBA All-Star scoring record and it earned her the MVP Award. On top of Collier’s 36 points, Allisha Gray added 18 points in just 16 minutes of action.
Skylar Diggins broke Sue Bird’s WNBA All-Star Game assist record with 15 assists off the bench. She recorded a triple-double as well, by adding 11 points and 11 rebounds. Angel Reese added six points and nine rebounds off the bench for Team Collier.
As for Team Clark, Kelsey Mitchell stepped up in Caitlin Clark’s absence by scoring 20 points. But it wasn’t enough.
Team Collier came out firing, scoring 49 points in the first quarter. The game was basically over since then, as Team Collier led by as much as 30 points in the game.
Would things have been different if Clark hadn’t suffered a groin injury?
