AJ Styles spoke with the Battleground Podcast to promote the show. He talked about how much respect he has for LA Knight for taking his chances and getting over with the crowd.

“You gotta respect what he’s been through to get to where he’s at. I’ve been there, done that, and I know exactly how it feels for somebody believe in you.”

“All you need is a chance. He got his chance, and now people don’t stop saying ‘Yeah!’. He can throw a punch or a kick, we’re gonna hear ‘Yeah!’.”

“So, kudos to him for hanging in there and getting the job done, when I know there is frustration there. Alright, that’s it! I’m not saying any more good things about him.”

AJ Styles Thinks Tama Tonga Joining WWE Would Be ‘Awesome’

Later in that same interview, AJ Styles was asked about the possibility of Tama Tonga joining the WWE. He has been rumoured to be signing for some months since leaving NJPW, and the former WWE Champion had nothing but good things to say about the star.

Styles said Tonga signing would be “Awesome” and that he is making the right move joinign the company.

“Well, I think that the sky is the limit. This guy can get after it. I know how good Tama is, so the fact that he may be coming over would be awesome. I was hoping that he’d come over a long time ago, but he didn’t have any interest back then, so if there’s interest now, he’s making the right decision.”
