Alexa Bliss will be sticking around in WWE after her pregnancy.

During a recent interview with The Messenger to discuss her pregnancy, multi-time WWE Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss revealed that WWE has extended her contract as she continues her hiatus.

“WWE gave me time off for [Masked Singer] to kind of fully dive into that experience with rehearsals, vocal lessons, and all that stuff. Storyline-wise, I was not on TV anyway, so it really kind of worked out perfectly,” Bliss said. “[WWE] extended my contract, and so it’s just basically come back when I’m ready. Probably a month after the baby, I’ll start probably getting back into the gym, and getting ready for to see what my in-ring return looks like.”

Bliss hasn’t appeared on WWE programming since she lost a RAW Women’s Championship match to Bianca Belair at the Royal Rumble in January. She then appeared on the March 22 episode of The Masked Singer, and she hinted at her return to WWE ahead of WrestleMania 39. However, her absence has continued since then.

The 31-year-old confirmed that she was preparing for an in-ring return when she started experiencing cramps and decided to take a pregnancy test. Bliss noted that she and her husband Ryan Cabrera had planned on having kids, but weren’t sure when the timing would be right. Ultimately, they agree that now is the perfect time after a year of marriage. Their baby is due in December.

WrestleZone wishes Bliss the best in her pregnancy, and we will provide more information as it becomes available.
