Andrade is off this coming weekend’s GCW event.

On social media, the company announced that due to “circumstances out of control”, both Andrade and Maki Itoh have been pulled from their upcoming No Compadre event, which takes place this Friday at Thalia Hall in Chicago. Andrade was originally set to face Jonathan Gresham; Lio Rush will instead take his place.

Andrade recently had his final match in AEW at Worlds End on December 30, where he lost to Miro. The following week, he confirmed that he was no longer under contract. It has been reported that Andrade is likely headed back to WWE, where he was previously wrestled before leaving in 2021.

Itoh posted on social media on January 5 that she would be taking a break from wrestling. GCW later confirmed that Itoh would not be participating in her upcoming tour with the company due to injury. In addition, Blake Christian and Tony Deppen were pulled from this Saturday's GCW event in Columbus, though they will compete on Friday.
