Cut news is still trickling in with another talent gone as Cameron Grimes confirms his release from WWE.

Last Friday kicked off a new round of talent releases from WWE. These were not entirely deemed as budget cuts. That much makes sense considering we have heard of several talents re-signing to big deals. What that means is that WWE (via TKO) is spending money. But, they are spending on talent that is moving the needle. One way that these releases got explained is that the company focused on talent long with the company but who had not progressed as desired. With that in mind, that’s why we’ve seen Jinder Majal, Indus Sher, Xyon Quinn and Xia Li released.

And now we can add another to the list, as Cameron Grimes confirms his own release from WWE. It is unclear why some are trickling in now, or if this is just an ongoing review. For example, we learned of Von Wagner’s release just the other day, though that report indicates his was part of the original group. With Grimes’ post, it seems to indicate that he himself only just was informed on Tuesday.

It’s a bummer for him, to be sure. He enjoyed a fun run through NXT, where he was at one point the Million Dollar Champion. Honestly, with the WWE Draft back later this week and involving all three brands, his was a name I was hoping to see head back to NXT. Now, he has to wait out his 90 days and will be able to find other work.

i would say he did everything WWE asked of him, but it was not enough. He did get some big wins along the way, certainly memorable ones. After all, he was one who got a quick victory over Baron Corbin, which may or may not have sent Corbin back to NXT.
