Ash By Elegance was convinced to join TNA by Tommy Dreamer and Gail Kim.

She previously wrestled in the WWE as Dana Brooke, between 2013 and 2023. She was released after a decade last year, and quickly debuted in TNA under her new name.

Ash By Elegance spoke with Sportskeeda and revealed why she joined TNA after being released by WWE. The former Dana Brooke revealed that Tommy Dreamer and Gail Kim were a big draw for her to join the company. She also noted the idea of having creative freedom and the Knockouts division as another selling point.

“TNA is, I feel like, a land of open creativity. It lets you explore many, many different options. You know, there are other different companies out there that I have talked to and I was in negotiations with. And then one thing that drew me to TNA is Tommy Dreamer and Gail Kim. They were like, ‘Listen, we let our talent have creative freedom. Yes, we will help you and take that creativity to the next level and bring it to life.’. That’s something that drew me to TNA.

Also, watching the women’s Knockout Division, I feel as though it’s the best of the best. These women are hungry. They go in the ring, like, I’ve been honored and blessed to sit ringside for a lot of Jordan’s matches. And seeing what they do and seeing that they put their heart and soul into the ring is amazing. And I’m super passionate about wrestling.

Ash By Elegance Lost Her Passion In The WWE

Ash By Elegance went on to reveal that during her time in the WWE, she lost her passion for being on the road. She noted how she found that again in TNA, alongside the wrestlers in that locker room.

“In other places that I have wrestled before, you lose that passion for being on the road every single weekend, every single Monday or Friday on TV. You lose that passion because it’s just a story that you’re playing. You’re going out there, whereas in TNA, the wrestlers in TNA, they have that passion.”

“They’re hungry for that next step, for that next level. And telling a story, like, for instance, Rebellion is this coming weekend, and there’s a story to be told. But they want to elevate it to make sense, to go to that next level. And I really, really love that about TNA.”
