William Regal made his return to WWE television a month ago on an episode of WWE NXT, where he introduced Ava as the new General Manager of the brand.

Return

Regal returned to WWE in January 2023 in a Vice President position after his AEW departure after asking AEW/ROH President Tony Khan to be let out of his deal with the promotion early. At the time, it was reported Regal wanted to make a return to WWE so he could work with Triple H again and be in NXT with his son, who wrestles as Charles Dempsey.

Before his WWE release, Regal had been Triple H's right-hand man in NXT, which is why Triple H wanted to bring back a man for whom he has a ton of respect and who helped build NXT once taking over main roster creative.

Latest

Regal’s role as the Vice President of Global Talent Development sees him help wrestlers with their matches, taking notes and going over the bouts with them to improve things.

Corey Brennan of Fightful Select reported that “as of the February 27th taping, there are no plans to use Regal on screen in a full-time role in the near future.”
