Billy Gunn says Sean Waltman would be a great representative for All Elite Wrestling if the timing was ever right.

During a recent interview with Riju Dasgupta for SportsKeeda WrestleBinge, Billy Gunn was asked if he could ever see Waltman coming to AEW. ‘Daddy Ass’ said he doesn’t think it’d be for a DX reunion, then shared that they’ve already tried to get him in the past.

“I don’t know if that’s the thing right now. I think you’d be hard-pressed to get Tony [Khan] to get me away from The Acclaimed right now. [laughs]

“But no, it would be great [if it ever happened]. We tried to get Sean in here a couple times, things just didn’t work out. But I think if the times right, he would be a great asset because he still has huge popularity and everybody knows him and he’s such a good guy. He would not only help the younger talent, as well as be a good, good representative for our company. He’d be amazing if we could get him here.”

Sean Waltman spoke about being in a position to help talent instead of burying them during a recent interview with Graham Matthews for FanSided Daily DDT. Waltman said his RAW Is XXX appearance was fun because he helped put over Imperium instead of only belittling them.

“Yeah it was [fun]. That’s how we should be doing it when we show up, coming in like that and leaving the next day,” Waltman said. “Come in and help uplift the talent, instead of leaving them all laying just for our little bit of personal glory.”
