Bobby Lashley says there’s a lot more that he can accomplish, and he has his sights set on a major goal.

Former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley was left off the card of WrestleMania 39. One year later, he will compete on the show, as he and the Street Profits will battle The Final Testament in a Philadelphia Street Profit.

Ahead of WrestleMania 40, Lashley shared his thoughts.

“I feel good. I’m just proving my resilience,” Lashey said. “I’ve fought my ass off to the top, got knocked off, I’ve been fighting my way back up to the top. I was never a person to get handed things. I’ve always had to work my ass my entire life. As a kid, I put myself in a very big position across the board, from winning nationals, placing in worlds, to coming here, to the largest professional wrestling organization.

“Whatever I had to do to make it up to the top, we got there. Winning the WWE Championship…but something happened. The cards got shuffled, got brought back down to the point of not making it to WrestleMania, which was one of the biggest blows to me that I’ve ever had in my professional wrestling career, in my there’s career.”

Bobby Lashley’s Goal

Bobby Lashley then stated that he knew where he wanted to be, and he knew how to get there. Lashleuy made it clear that his goal was to headline WrestleMania 41.

“Now I’m back, a year later. I am scraping and clawing, and made it back onto the big show,” Bobby Lashley said. “But I feel like there’s so much more I have to accomplish. I know where I need to be, and I know how to get there, through hard work. I’m never one that is against hard work. I’ve worked hard my entire life to this point. 27 years in the wrestling business, and I’m still working as hard as I did day one.

“So I know what I’m capable of doing. I know where I want to get, and I know I can get back there. This is this year, WrestleMania 40. WrestleMania 41, I’m gonna be main-eventing next year. That’s the goal. That’s what I’m gonna be working for.”

WrestleZone will have coverage of WWE WrestleMania 40 Night Two as it airs on April 7.
