Bret Hart has weighed in on the Vince McMahon allegations weeks after McMahon resigned from all his roles within TKO, including TKO Executive Chairman and on the TKO Board of Directors.

Lawsuit

The lawsuit alleged that he had been involved in a sex trafficking and abuse scandal from a former WWE employee, Janel Grant. The company and former exec John Laurnatis were also named in the suit.

The allegations are being investigated by prosecutors in New York who have been in contact with women who have accused the former WWE CEO.

Hart speaks

While speaking with Slate, the WWE Hall of Famer noted he was going to speak the truth and isn’t worried about McMahon’s feelings because Vince never cared about his feelings. He said that he’s ok with the truth coming out regarding McMahon.

“When you get that vision in your head, you go, ‘That’s messed up,’ ” Hart said. “It’s too sick and disgusting to really imagine.”

Hart noted McMahon is like the Teflon guy and you can’t seem to get anything on him because of his money and power.

Behavior

“I don’t think this is the only incident of this kind of predatory behavior,” Hart said. “I think you’ll find that it’s everywhere in [WWE].”

Hart continued, “It’s like Jeffrey Dahmer, Harvey Weinstein, or Jeffrey Epstein: Vince will be a joke. He’ll be used for humor, and you’ll shake your head at the shock value of some joke about, ‘What did Vince McMahon do?’ He’ll always be associated with this story, especially as it gets bigger and bigger and bigger.”

Hart said after always having respect for McMahon, it’s tainted, and he’s embarrassed he once thought highly of him.

Rita Chatterson

Hart recalled apologizing to former WWE referee Rita Chatterton, who came forward in 1992 to accuse McMahon of raping her after the lawsuit came out, as he didn’t think McMahon would do something like that because he had too much at stake. He admitted to Chatterson that he was wrong to not believe her.

“I think, despite all of the issues I ever had with Vince, I know, deep down, I always respected him, but now, knowing what kind of a weirdo he became, I have absolutely zero respect for him."

Hart added that he doesn’t think he could ever shake McMahon’s hand as it’s too creepy now.
