Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin are now both on the main roster, but they’re heading separate ways.

Former NXT Champion Bron Breakker competed in the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble and later signed with SmackDown. He pulled double duty on SmackDown and NXT while he and Baron Corbin held the NXT Tag Team Championship. However, the duo lost the titles to Axiom and Nathan Frazer, seemingly ending Breakker’s time in NXT.

During the opening night of the 2024 WWE Draft, RAW selected Bron Breakker. Corbin was then picked by SmackDown.

In a post on Instagram, WWE shared a video in which Baron Corbin and Bron Breakker reacted to getting picked by different brands. Breakker congratulated Corbin, but it was clear that both men felt that the situation was bittersweet. They embraced and noted that they were still there for each other.

Details On Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin Spitting Up

A previous report noted that there had been pitches to have Baron Corbin join Bron Breakker on WWE SmackDown. In an update, Sean Ross Sapp and Corey Brennan of Fightful (via Fightful Select) report that Breakker was drafted to a different brand because WWE sees a major singles star in him.

Additionally, Sapp reports that Corbin is “likely to get a renewed look” on SmackDown. He has not had a televised match on the main roster since June 2023. Corbin is a former King of the Ring winner, among other accolades.
