Cody Rhodes continues to state that he has a great relationship with those in AEW despite his departure.

Cody Rhodes left AEW on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, in order to return to WWE, revealing that it is his desire to finally win the WWE championship for the Rhodes family. In the wake of his departure, many rumors were reported about the reason he decided to leave the promotion, but in the months following, Cody has insisted that it was simply time for him to move on and he did not want to be known for simply starting arrival promotion. As a professional wrestler, Cody wants to win the big one, the WWE Championship.

Responding to a fan on social media that claimed they would not be supporting AEW by purchasing Double or Nothing this weekend because they believe Cody deserved more money, Cody was quick to control the narrative and state that any reports regarding his leaving the promotion because of a money dispute or creative differences is false and he simply wants to be WWE Champion.

Cody will not be challenging for any WWE Championship until he gets past his feud with Seth Rollins which will be concluding inside of Hell in a Cell on Sunday, June 5, 2022. Learn more here.
