Dakota Kai and IYO SKY have a lot of respect for WWE Hall of Famers Lita and Trish Stratus.

WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard recently spoke with Dakota Kai and IYO SKY of Damage CTRL. When asked if they have learned anything specific from working with WWE Hall of Famers Trish Stratus and Lita in recent weeks, Kai and SKY admitted they looked up to both of them growing up.

“I feel like for us, like I said, we used to watch Trish and Lita,” Dakota Kai said. “They had amazing rivalries and stuff. But this run, it seems like they haven’t skipped a beat. I think that’s what I’ve got my eye on right now. Yes, we looked up to them, but like you said, we don’t have to be friends with them to respect them. They’ve done so much in this industry and, yeah, I think that’s what it’d be.”

“We looked up them, of course. We respect them even now, of course,” IYO SKY said. “But we are trying to think we are some rebel now because we’re going to be standing on WrestleMania ring [across from them].”

When asked if there are any other legends they would like to potentially work with, Kai picked a very possible one in WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix.

“I was thinking about this before. I know that Beth [Phoenix] is currently back and she’s doing stuff right here and there, but like, if you had asked me the same question a couple of years ago when she wasn’t, I would have picked her,” Dakota Kai said. “Because I’ve always thought Beth is someone that was ahead of her [time]. She was a trailblazer for that moment. She’s a name that I always thought would be cool to mix it up with the current generation. So, I know she’s already back. I don’t know if that kind of like cheats, but I’d say Beth.”

SKY, however, picked someone that sadly isn’t possible anymore.

“A little sad answer, but Chyna is my favorite, so Chyna, I wish,” IYO SKY said.
