Daniel Garcia believes that it would be a major moment if he beat TNT Champion Christian Cage.

Daniel Garcia will challenge Cage for the title at AEW Revolution on March 3 in what might be the biggest match of his career to date. With a win, Garcia would continue his remarkable rise up the ranks, which ramped up during the Continental Classic.

In an interview with Fightful’s Grapsody podcast, Daniel Garcia shared his thoughts ahead of the match and commented on his potential victory. (H/t Fightful for the transcription)

“It feels great,’ he said. “Being able to take the title off a living legend like Christian Cage is going to be one of the biggest moments ever. Somebody who has a reign of terror over AEW for the past year. Somebody who has been despicable, hateful — you call me a hater, Christian Cage is a real hater. A hateful, disgusting person.

“Being able to beat him and take that title, that means so much to so many people, away from him and bring it back to somebody with a good heart. It’s a much-needed change.”
