The WWE Undisputed Universal Title has been held by Roman Reigns for over three years. The work-horse championship, the WWE Intercontinental Title has been held by Gunther for almost two years. The Ring General has broken Honky Tonk Man’s record and has now surpassed 600 days as the champion.

While he is dominating Monday Nights, a former WWE Superstar seems to be interested in wrestling Gunther. It is the former WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champion, Erick Redbeard.

The Ring General has defeated multiple stars throughout his reign as the Intercontinental Champion. Some of the biggest names Gunther had defeated were Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Chad Gable, and Kofi Kingston. The latest one to get pinned by the Ring General was Main Even Jey Uso.

Now, it seems like former WWE Superstar Erick Redbeard wants to exchange chops with Gunther. Redbeard took to Twitter to share that he wants to fight The Ring General.

“I’ll say it again I want to fight @Gunther_AUT,” Erick Redbeard tweeted.

Gunther reveals that his dream match against Brock Lesnar will no longer take place

During an interview with GVWire, The leader of Imperium mentioned that his dream opponent was Brock Lesnar but sadly the plan fell through. The main reason for the plan to have been nixed is because of the recent lawsuits and allegations involving Vince McMahon and Lesnar.

“Obviously I always was vocal about my dream match in the past, but that fell through now,” Gunther said. “I don’t know if we’re gonna see Brock again, if that’s ever gonna happen. But I’m wide-open when it comes to that as of now.

“I think I’m in a position where people need to chase me. People want to challenge me for the championship. That’s just the mindset I have when it comes to that right now. I don’t really stress about who I’m gonna be facing at WrestleMania. It’s not really on my mind.”

The Ring General also mentioned that he is not stressed about whom he is going to face at WrestleMania 40.

“People want to challenge me for the championship. And that’s just the mindset I have when it comes to that right now. I’m not really stressed about who am I going to face at WrestleMania,” Gunther said.
