Could we see Eva Marie return to WWE?

Upon the end of her second stint in WWE in 2021, many fans felt her character still had some unfinished business. Shortly after her exit from WWE, Eva Marie — real name Natalie Eva Marie Coyle — began filming her first lead action movie. But now that production has wrapped, many have been curious to see if a return to professional wrestling would ever happen.

Speaking in a video on her YouTube channel, Eva Marie addressed the possibility. “When the talks of me coming back to WWE, it’s one of those things where I know you guys want a yes or no answer. And the truth is, it’s maybe. We have an ongoing relationship. I was just in talks to WWE Studios talking about ideas and movies and TV. Then obviously that door is always open potentially of coming back. Who knows?”

Marie continued on, toying with the idea of revamping her on-screen character a bit.

“Eva Marie could come back as a dark kind of persona. Dye my hair back to black. Come in. You never know,” she said. “That’s what’s so beautiful about WWE is it’s a character. You’re creating something to entertain you guys, whether it’s happy, mad or you want to punch the screen where you want to slap me, whatever it may be. That’s the whole joy about watching the WWE programming.”

“So to give you a cut-and-dry answer, it’s a maybe. I love WWE and the fact that I’m in talks with them right now currently is amazing. So hopefully, when you guys go to bed at night, I want you to think about possibly, ‘Is she coming back to Monday Night Raw? And I could be coming back with black hair?’ Who knows? That’s the thing. WWE can be whatever we want it to be, whatever we create it.”

Eva Marie recently addressed her potential WWE return in an interview with WrestleZone. Asked if she had any unfinished business in the ring, Eva Marie said the door was always open for a return.

“Of course. That door is always open. I mean, we’re in constant talks. When I had originally left, I was filming my first lead action movie,” she explained, “so that door is definitely one of those things that is always open. I’m definitely down to always cause some trouble and stir up some things, that’s for sure.”
