Former WWE star Roderick Strong made a surprise debut tonight on AEW Dynamite.

On tonight's show, Adam Cole went out to the ring to call out Chris Jericho. Jericho declined but he sent out the JAS to do his dirty work.

Orange Cassidy and Bandido ran out to help Cole but they were overtaken by the numbers until Strong ran out to make the save. Cole and Strong hugged afterward.

Strong had been on the NXT brand for years and there were rumblings that he wanted his release last year and it was denied. It's clear now that he has fulfilled his commitments to WWE and has not joined AEW.
