Frankie Kazarian has opened up about his wife Traci Books getting involved ahead of his upcoming battle with Eddie Edwards at IMPACT 1000.
Steve Fall of Ten Count asked Kazarian if he and his wife were on the same page against Eddie and Alisha Edwards heading into the mixed tag team match set for the September 9th event.
Kazarian noted his wife retired from active in-ring competition a decade ago, but she was coming to fight and not showcase a technical masterpiece.
“[My wife] she’s not a wrestler anymore, and she hasn’t been for a decade. She’s always been a fighter, as long as I’ve known her. And she’s coming to fight. If people are expecting a technical masterpiece… it’s probably no. She’s coming to fight. She’s coming in as a pissed off wife. She’s coming to beat the hell out of Lish [Alisha Edwards],” Kazarian said.
The former five-time IMPACT X Division Champion admitted he never wanted his feud with Eddie Edwards to be personal, but that’s where they eventually got.
“We’re definitely on the same page. You know this isn’t what I would’ve wanted from the beginning. Any of this. I didn’t mean for any of the wives get involved. But here we are and sometimes you got to play the card you’re dealt… and we’re gonna play them and we’re going to beat the hell out of Eddie and Lish. We’re definitely on the same page. Both as tag team partners and as husband and wife.”
