The Ring General Gunther will make his return to WWE RAW this Monday night.

Gunther has been absent from WWE programming since dropping the Intercontinental Championship to Sami Zayn at WrestleMania 40. This loss ended Gunther’s history reign at 666 days.

WWE has announced on its official website that The Ring General will return to WWE RAW this Monday night.

While it’s unknown what WWE’s plans for Gunther are, many fans are hopeful his return will lead to him becoming a top challenger for Damian Priest’s WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

The following things have been announced for Monday’s episode of WWE RAW:

  • A new WWE Women’s World Champion will be crowned in a Battle Royal
  • WWE World Tag Team Titles: Awesome Truth (c) vs. DIY
  • Andrade and Ricochet take on Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh of The Judgment Day
  • The return of Gunther

WrestleZone has live coverage of WWE RAW every Monday night.
