IMPACT Wrestling continues to load up the card for IMPACT 1000.
The company will celebrate 1,000 episodes of IMPACT Wrestling on September 9. On August 30, IMPACT announced that Trey Miguel will challenge Alex Shelley for the IMPACT World Championship.
Shelley won the title by defeating Steve Maclin at IMPACT Against All Odds. He scored a major win when he retained the title against Hiroshi Tanahashi at IMPACT x NJPW Multiverse United 2. Miguel is riding some momentum as well, as he and Zachary Wentz won the tag team titles at IMPACT Emergence.
