Several notable names will likely be in town this week for WWE SummerSlam, which takes place this Saturday at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan.

Most of the names, whether injured, not being used, or retired, like The Undertaker, who will be there, will likely be just visiting with friends. In some instances, they’ll be filming something for Peacock.

Since working with Omos last June at a WWE house show, Robert Roode hasn't wrestled due to a neck injury he had been dealing with. Last year, he had his C5 and C6 vertebrae fused. Earlier this year, Roode suffered another setback in his recovery as he also had to get his C4 and C5 fused.

Roode signed with WWE in 2016, where he found a lot of success, including holding the NXT Title before going to the main roster, where he became a United States Champion, Raw Tag Team Champion, and SmackDown Tag Team Champion.

PWinsider reports the former NXT Champion was spotted in Detroit today ahead of the big PLE. It’s unclear why he was brought in, but he's not expected to be medically cleared for in-ring action anytime soon.

We wish Roode a speedy recovery.
