An AEW Interim Women's World Championship match is set to take place on Dynamite this week.

AEW has announced that Toni Storm will defend her Interim Women's World Championship against Serena Deeb on Dynamite this Wednesday night. Tony Khan stated that the reason Deeb is getting the title shot is because she pinned Storm in a tag team match on Dynamite two weeks ago.

Deeb & Britt Baker defeated Storm & Athena in that tag team match.

On Dynamite Grand Slam last Wednesday, Storm retained her title by defeating Athena, Baker, and Deeb in a four-way match. Baker, Deeb, and Jamie Hayter attacked Storm and Athena after the match until being chased away by the debuting Saraya.

Storm became AEW Interim Women's World Champion at All Out earlier this month. The interim title was created because AEW Women's World Champion Thunder Rosa is out of action with a back injury.

The Liacouras Center in Philadelphia is hosting Dynamite this Wednesday. The updated lineup for the episode is listed below:

  • AEW World title eliminator match: AEW World Champion Jon Moxley vs. Juice Robinson
  • ROH World Champion Chris Jericho defends against Bandido
  • AEW Interim Women's Champion Toni Storm defends against Serena Deeb
  • Saraya speaks
  • MJF speaks
  • Chris Jericho championship celebration
