Last night’s episode of AEW Dynamite aired live from Winnipeg, Canada. The final segment of the night featured former AEW World Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega. The Cleaner returned after being away for several months. Omega mentioned that he was diagnosed with Diverticulosis. He then also mentioned that if he gets a bruise in his abdomen it could potentially be life threatening. His return didn’t go exactly as he planned. He was attacked by Jungle Boy Jack Perry and The Elite.

The Cleaner Kenny Omega thanked the fans and also mentioned that at times he thought about retiring. But then he changed his mind and promised fans that he will return ti in-ring action soon. The Rainmaker Kazuchika Okada came out and claimed that he is now the ‘Best Bout Machine.’ Then out came Jack Perry, who attacked Omega from behind. The Elite also came out and attacked their former friend. When the faction looked to take out Omega once and for all, FTR ran out to save the day.

Following the attack, Jack Perry reflected on his attack.

“Is this the best that you got? You know, you are not as bad as you think you are. But I hope that you had fun. Hitting all your old moves in your hometown. For what’s probably the last time in your entire life. But the thing that hurts me the most Kenny, is that you are not the hero that we needed you to be. When it came down to it, you were a coward like everybody else. And the truth is, The Elite doesn’t need you anymore. Neither does AEW. Because we are going to change the world without you. We all have to sacrifice. And you just made yours,” Jack Perry said.

What was your reaction to the attack?
