We know he’s had a rough run of things recently, and Jim Ross provides an update on his health issues.

The legendary commentator has called matches for many promotions, including WWE and of course AEW.

For many fans, all-time great matches featuring Hall of Famers are tied to Ross and his famous voice.

But, in recent years, he has been wrestling with a number of health issues. One big challenge has been a long battle with skin cancer.

Unfortunately for Good Ol’ JR, it has not been all smooth sailing.

On his own podcast, Ross detailed how things have gone for him, and of course he’s had more issues.

While he did have another recent procedure to help deal with his skin cancer, that wasn’t the source of the bad news this time around.

Rather, Ross took a fall and broke his hip.

The fall and subsequent injury meant he was on the mend and out of action for three weeks, needing rehab to get back up and running.

Granted, Ross is not actually running. In fact, the WWE Hall of Famer notes he is currently walking with the aid of a cane.

He is quick to point that the cane is a temporary need while he recovers.

Of course, while he’s been on the mend, he has missed shows, and been missed by fans.

But in his own words, he is aiming to return in time for the next AEW PPV, which as he noted was in Saint Louis.

Say what you will about AEW, but it’s hard not to root for Ross and his recovery. He may not be quite what he once was, but his voice is and will always be iconic, and a wrestling treasure.
