WWE will present its next big event, Clash at the Castle, next month, which marks the first major WWE event in the UK since 1992.

However, one big name won’t appear at the show: John Cena. This is something the former WWE Champion addressed during a Q&A session at Wales Comic Con.

"I've been coming to Cardiff to fight for 15-plus years, and every time, it's exciting and amazing. I'm not going to be at Clash," Cena stated.

The event, scheduled for September 3 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, will be headlined by Roman Reigns defending the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Drew McIntyre.

Cena hasn't wrestled since losing to Reigns at last year’s SummerSlam. He's been adamant that he's not fully retired from wrestling but is remaining focused on his acting career.

When Cena returned to Raw last month, he indicated that he would not be wrestling anytime soon and did not know when he would return to the ring.
