John Cena has not appeared live on WWE programming since November, but he recently teased that he might be at WrestleMania 40.

Speaking on First Take, John Cena was asked whether he preferred wearing three-piece suits or jorts.

“It depends. It depends,” Cena said. “If we’re talking WrestleMania 40, crossing my fingers, I hope the jorts are there. If we’re talking First Take, I will do my best to put on a waistcoat for you.”

Cena previously returned to WWE and had a sustained run in the fall of 2023. He received permission during the SAG-AFTRA strike, and the end of his run coincided with the conclusion of the strike. Cena has been absent since he lost to Solo Sikoa at WWE Crown Jewel.

As of this writing, there is no word on whether John Cena will appear at WrestleMania 40. WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
