Johnny Swinger sees a lot of similarities between IMPACT Wrestling and ECW.

IMPACT Wrestling‘s Johnny Swinger was a recent guest on The Ten Count with Steve Fall to discuss a wide variety of subjects. When asked about his time in ECW, Swinger said it reminds him a lot of what’s happening in IMPACT right now.

“IMPACT reminds me a lot of ECW in the sense that everybody helps everybody out,” Johnny Swinger said. “There’s no cliques. There’s no guys that are like, ‘I don’t want to see this guy get over or succeed.’ We all kind of work together to make a great show. That’s what ECW was like. Not that the other places aren’t like that.

“I’m not here to bury the WWE or WCW; they’re great places. WCW is where I got my start. I’ll always be grateful for the opportunities there, but maybe because it’s a smaller territory, and it really depends on all the wrestlers getting over and meaning something to the people so that they’ll want to watch us and come out to see us, you know what I mean? So it’s everybody works together. People have ideas for me, and I use them, man. We just do our best to have a great show.”

WrestleZone’s Managing Editor Bill Pritchard recently interviewed Swinger; you can check out that interview by clicking here.
