Karl Anderson has zero complaints about his recent NXT run.

Along with Luke Gallows, he appeared on NXT in February this year in a shock appearance. They turned heel for the first time since 2022, and had some good matches on the yellow brand.

He recently appeared as a guest on Busted Open Radio. Bully Ray asked the WWE star if he felt the move to NXT this year was something he viewed as a negative, and how he felt about the move. Anderson answered that by saying that he is competitive and is always ready to be used however they need him.

“I don’t know if It’s so much of ‘not being used the way we think we should be used’. It’s just… in WWE, sometimes you’ve just got to sit and you’ve gotta take your time. You’ve gotta be patient, and you’ve gotta wait. We’re competitive guys, right? So we always wanna be used. We always wanna be on TV, and we’re always ready and willing to go.”

“We want to be on Raw, we want to be on Smackdown, we want to be on all the PLE’s. Sometimes, you gotta take a step back, because there’s a lot of guys there, a lot of girls there. There’s a lot of stuff going on, especially with the last couple of years with the way it’s been. So you’ve gotta be patient.”

Karl Anderson Says NXT Run Was Nothing But Positive

Karl Anderson continued to answer the question posed to him by Bully Ray. He said that moving down to NXT was “total positive”, and he would have liked to do it even longer.

“Also, getting the call to go to NXT? Zero negatives. if anything, we got the text as, I believe, we were driving to Smackdown that day. We got the group text about going to NXT from one of the writers, and it just excited us. We’ve been doing this for a long time. Over 20 years. So, for us to get in the ring, talk wrestling, talk about promos, talk about storyline, physically get in the ring and do it. It still excites us. It’s the only thing that really gets me going in the world any more, except for watching my kids hit a home run or something. So being able to go to NXT – total positive. We did it for about a month or five weeks. I wouldn’t mind it being more. Any chance we get to be in a pro-wrestling ring, we’re just ready.”
